When To Pray

He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. Colossians 1:17-18

Never stop praying. -1Thessalonians 5:17

For many prayer is a last resort rather than an initial response. Usually after all accustomed options have exhausted the only thing left to do by those who are desperate is to call on God, even if beforehand they never had or sought out a personal relationship with the Lord.

Some people just speak to God on occasion to fulfill a special need or desire then forget about him and go on with their lives.

As a habit, many adapt to the conditions that they become familiar with and when things become complicated, or need fixing, the first direction in where they run to is what they rely on as it is primarily routine to them.

Prayer is a speed dial that accesses us to God’s phone extension immediately. His line is never busy and he is able to take multiple calls at a time with no delay, interruption, or time limit. Most of all there is no charge the exchange is totally free.

We are to use and take advantage of this offer and special deal constantly throughout the day to deliver and discuss any message of information to God for any reason. Do not forget to thank the Lord for this kind and beneficial gesture along with the other vital, necessary, and generous blessings that he undeservingly hands out to us through his love.

Genuine followers of Jesus Christ know to consult directly through him to the father as the number one priority above all others. Prayer, is our intimate source of communication with the Lord, the immediate action to be taken before, within and after any circumstance or situation.

Prayer is the key and faith unlocks the door.

When we have faith, we put all our trust in God. So, we do not do like the world or worldly people do, placing hope and trust in the things created instead of the creator who activates everything that he creates.

Know who is truly in control and that the Lord is the only one who is able to completely work conditions out suitably and effectively to his plan.

Prayer is welcomed and encouraged by God always, and for all things.

Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. -Colossians 4:2

Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him. -1 Chronicles 16:11

Out In The Open

Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways! For who can know the LORD’s thoughts? Who knows enough to give him advice? -Romans 11:33-34

I never understood the idea or concept of those who sought to keep their thoughts and actions hidden from God.

No matter what perception we had of God- the loving, merciful one or the angry, vengeful one- I was never disappointed in the fact the he was aware of our every thought, feeling, and action.

If anything, I was glad about this advantage of his. An advantage that some of us even share of touch of within certain spiritual gifts that God anoints some of us with.

As sovereign, we as a people need one who knows all and sees all, especially living among a fallen world where people tend to judge by what is on the outside as well as by only what they sometimes want to see.

Our God sees the absolute truth inside each and every one of us. He knows our true motives and what lies within our hearts.

Unlike others who jump to conclusions without gathering up all or enough information, who form an opinion prematurely based on a false perception, and who take out of context what is not comprehended, God already holds the full spectrum accurately and ultimately on point. He knows us far better than we know ourselves and we need a ruler just as himself to make things right.

If all was left to mankind on their own to decide the final word, we’d all be in trouble- worse trouble than what the world is in now.

So for those in particular who are concerned about what God knows about their sin, instead of looking to hide look to admit and to repent and learn to appreciate that we have a God that looks to forgive.

But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. -1 Corinthians 2:10-11

God Knows All, So Come To Know Him

O LORD, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, LORD. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! -Psalms 139:1-7

What is done behind closed doors and in front of mirrors can be kept hidden unseen from others, and put far behind as to never have existed.

The walls of a room will never talk, the doors of a room will never open up to reveal anything that ever took place, and the mirrors within a room will never again reflect a scene displayed from the past.

One can even lie to themself, denying what no one else could prove unless there was substantial evidence or a credible witness.

The truth would be portrayed as a lie for as long as one continued to not admit, or forget.

Going back inside the rooms through the doors to look back into the mirrors sometimes can force or incite one to face a reality they may not prefer to accept.

The fact that even though actions and things will sometimes be or remain unknown to anyone else- it is still definitely known.

God knows.

No matter how hard one tries, how hard one runs, how hard one pretends they can never escape the one who is aware of all things.

No one can masquerade or play a charade on God.

Stop running, trying, and/or pretending and confess to the Lord what he already knows so that he may give you a peace, comfort and joy that the world does not give, understand, and is unable to take away.

Why carry a burden when you do not have to. Our good Lord is ever so merciful and full of grace. He is just waiting for anyone to come to him as he is ready to forgive, forget, and fulfill with a life of restoration and purpose to all those who surrender to his everlasting love and divine perfection.

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. -1 John 1:9
